Pleasant Counter

We ate at Pleasant Counter yesterday and the food was absolutely incredible! One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. My boyfriend had the shrimp po boy and said it was incredible as well. Very friendly service. We will definitely be back!

A local comfort food restaurant that is really good and fresh. It's a pretty simple menu, I tried the double smasher burger and really enjoyed it it didn't take long to come and was fresh and not overly processed like most quick burgers. The fries really good too especially if you like the fresh cut potato style. I also tried a chocolate pie and really enjoyed it.

If you care about healthier, higher quality ingredients, but still want to enjoy traditional great tasting restaurant-style foods, this place is for you. We have had the crispy fried chicken sandwich, the smash burger, the fries, fried pies, and the cookie ice cream sandwich - all were amazing. The owners are very nice and the service is great. We will be back again and again, and we wish there were more seed oil free/high quality ingredient restaurants like this.

Food was awesome and the restaurant was very clean and had a good vibe. Reminded me of grandmas house! The menu is limited but I think how good the food is makes up for it! I got a double smash burger and I couldn’t finish this monster. The server (who I think may also be owner?) was very nice and helpful with the menu! Awesome location and perfect for an impromptu lunch!

This is an outstanding local lunch and dinner spot. The owner is so nice! The food is locally sourced. We loved the tallow fries, smash burger and chicken sandwich. We both had organic iced tea with simple syrup and topped it off with fried chocolate pie with ice cream. So delicious!!

My wife and I set out to decide what we would have for dinner on Friday night…. Leftovers? Mexican? Maybe some Indian food (my favorite…). But my wife felt pulled to this small hole in the wall. Thinking it may not be what we were wanting, but wanting to give it a shot, we played rock paper scissors and ended up going. Clearly God was trying to bless us. The po boy was amazing. The flavor, breading, sauce, everything was fantastic. The double burger was everything you could want. The saltiness and savoriness, the sweetness from the ketchup, pickles and mustard bringing a vinegar flavor. It was incredible. And the fries…. Our kiddo couldn’t stop eating them! And we couldn’t either. After the meal we got some time to talk to the owner. He is an absolutely amazing guy! A great heart, an incredibly hard worker, and clearly loves and values his family so much. Great local restaurant with clean eats. The shrimp po boy is very good. Perfectly cooked, fried to perfection. The fries cooked in tallow are awesome. The only thing I would change on the smash burger, hold the ketchup, add a mayo aioli of some kind. Maybe a pickel slice too. Will definitely be back to try to kimchi burger.

Amazing experience on all counts. Tasty food, quick service, and owner is very nice. Love the fact that they use tallow instead of seed oils. I ordered the smash burger with fries and an apple pie and everything was perfect.
